Within St James’ Cathedral is the stall (“cathedra”) of the Bishop of North Queensland. The Cathedral is the mother church of the vast Anglican Diocese of North Queensland which stretches from Sarina to the Torres Strait Islands, and from the Pacific Ocean to the Northern Territory border.

We welcome you to our beautiful Cathedral which has been a place of sacred space for the community for well over a century. We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary Anglican liturgy, and aim to be a joyful and welcoming community.

We aim to serve the Mission of God by:
